We are grateful to the mother earth providing us a home, and giving us basically everything. In this very intimate outdoor performance, for one hour all the lights were turned off and the stage was given to the opera singer to tell Earth how much we love and appreciate all that she provides to us.
In this intimate SOLD-OUT concert, I tried my best to touch people's heart and soul. I am glad that the concert has ended with standing ovation again. I am very grateful to collaborate with the best of the best musicians such as Ms. Yeon-Jung Yoon, she is a real pro and an amazing musician with her heart and soul. Not to forget her beautiful smile you rarely get to see and we all saw at the end of our concert. Mr. Narek Darbinyan who is a violinist with 2 masters degree and who played all around the Europe. He has Norwegian degree in violin. Ms. Haryot Singh who studied music in Germany and actually an Harp player but also is very skillful Viola player. And Mr. Afaq Mufti who played the contrabass and let the audience feel the music in their guts. I am also grateful for all who came to me after the concert and explain how they were touched and they liked the concert. Applause is a good indication but also it is good to know.
I am singing because I love singing. I love sharing it with people. That's how I could find the courage to organize an acoustic solo concert. I thought even if there would be 10 people only, I would be really happy to share the moment with them. In reality it turned out better than that and actually there were 96 people in the audience. Also I am really grateful that I had my first ever standing ovation at the end of the concert. Including one Encore, I have performed 18 songs. I should admit It was a bit challenging to sing so many songs one after the other without the help of the microphone but I liked it this way, honest, and direct communication with the audience. This is the way I want to explore further.
It was a beautiful weather by the beach where I have sung various classical/crooner songs as part of the team of Opera-Pop. Great fun, and entertainment was there for the audience. Initially eating nice food and sipping from house drinks at the end of the night left its place to heavy dancing and jumping
I would not think it would be this much fun and excitement for me to perform as an acapella band member. We have performed in various restaurants on the JBR 3 consecutive weekends as surprise acapella singers. Got excited with the applause of the audience and sometimes lost in the harmony that we have created. The other amazing singers who has sung with me in the team: Wim Hoste (Belgium), Maci Falchi (Italy), Henrick Solera (Sweden).
It was an exciting Flash Mob at the end of the Gala Dinner for LG Innofest 2016. I was dressed up as an Atlantis Hotel employee. We have performed first Frank Sinatra's famous New York New York with a slight twist to its lyrics. Afterwards we have done Funiculi Funicula and we have finished with Queen's famous song "We Are the Champions". As a tenor based in Dubai, UAE, it is always a big pleasure to perform such amazing songs.
It's always a great pleasure to meet audience in a concert. This time we were at Solis Beach Club/Restaurant at Tiara Residences. It was an amazing night. I had a chance to perform some masterpieces like 'E Lucevan Le Stelle' from Puccini's famous opera Tosca, along with some great English crooner songs like "Can't help falling in Love" from Elvis, and "Perhaps Love" of John Denver.
Imagine you're on a golf field. All around you is green grass and you are sitting in a great setting while tasting amazing food prepared by the chefs of Dubai's one of the oldest and biggest venues. Also imagine a blue moon, little wind touching your face, and with the tunes of most famous classical and crooners. Well to be honest this concept was exactly like how we dreamed of for the first concert of us. But for the second concert due to very hot weather and high humidity it didn't happen much. I hope we will continue with our concerts with Emirates Golf Club soon.
Performing arts are all connected. We can be different but in fact we are one. We live on the stage, and the applause is our blood. I was asked to perform for Red Carpet Gala Finale of the international Short & Sweet competition, and I have gladly accepted this great honor. We have performed 3 songs, and I believe we have given a great taste of opera to the audience.
I really love acoustic concerts. Without any microphone, or any other electronic processor, only me and the audience. It feels as if it is more honest way of communicating. So I was very happy to have this chance at the amazing local theater The Courtyard Playhouse. Special thanks to great Polish musician Dariusz Barwiński for supporting me with his guitar.
